The Daily Beast posted an article listing the 13 most useless college majors based on studetn’s prospect for finding jobs in these fields after college.  The research is based on a two year study by Georgetown University and data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Sadly the list includes classic majors, like philosophy and fine arts, as well as majors that became overly popular, like graphic design and political science and government.

For those of you thinking about some of these majors, don’t let this scare you.  Hot jobs one year are cold several years later. Additionally, many of these majors are good stepping stones to further education like law school.  Remember, the most successful people in life are not necessarily the ones with high paying jobs, but rather the ones that have followed their passions and are happy.
