The Teen Choice Awards is at it again when it comes to supporting the planet by encouraging teens to go green with their second annual energy playground, FOX announced.
The 2012 energy playground promotes eco-friendliness with a fun learning environment where people can hop on bikes, jump on the Energy Swings, have fun on the Energy See-saws and generate clean energy on the Human Hamster Wheels. Basically, you can act like a kid again, all while giving back to the environment.
The playground first opened yesterday with help from “Glee” star and this year’s awards co-host Kevin McHale. (pictured below) Bikers, both amateur and experienced, showed off their riding skills on 16 bikes that were hooked up to Global Inheritance’s “Tour de Energy” bike station that produced kinetic energy, which is converted to electricity and pumped back into the grid. It was a 100 percent carbon neutral event.
