But—admitting its matching algorithm isn’t always perfect—eHarmony has created a handy iOS app that fakes a believable phone call, giving you an emergency exit to an awkward night out.

Now, there are plenty of ‘fake phone call’ apps already available, but eHarmony’s free Bad Date Rescue seems to go above and beyond the call of duty. In addition to being able to specify when the call will arrive, it also lets you choose the emergency.

The app even fakes a voice on the other end of the line, to help you make your great escape.
