colleges that claim to meet full financial need


According to US News and World Report, 62 of the 1,171 colleges that report statistics to the publication, claim to have met the full financial needs of their undergraduate students.

While every school defines ‘meeting needs’ differently, generally it means that these 62 colleges fill in the gap between their total costs; tuition, fees, room and board, books, travel, and other expenses, and the expected family contribution (EFC).  The EFC estimates what a family can spend on college based on factors like income, number of children, assets, etc.
