the founders
highschoogle.com was founded by three hipsters in a basement in New Jersey. Alice, Jack and Pat have known each other socially and professionally for many years. They all have several teens and felt there was an opportunity to create a unique website geared just for high school students. highschoogle was created to provide interesting information on a wide range of topics teens are interested in about high school, life and beyond.
Though no longer teens themselves, they like to act and think like they are.

Zack Lutz
Zack Lutz happily spent his time on www.highschoogle.com during his senior year of high school writing the blog that got him there, “Persona Grata”. After his articles got published on the national edition of my.hsj.org, he was overwhelmed with the opportunity to work as the website’s first intern when approached via email by the creator of the highschoogle. Gladly accepting, he began working immediately, and his writing not only went smoothly, but he found a new love: Journalism/Music Journalism. Zack will be attending The University of the Arts in Philadelphia where we will earn his BA in Jazz Performance-Saxophone, and his MA in Arts and Teaching. He will always remember what this website has done for him, and always will be on call if the website needs anything. In fact, it’s one of his favorite high school memories! Special thank you to Alice Borowsky, the woman that made it all happen! You can reach Zack at his personal email address for work opportunities/comments at [email protected]
Lauren Rubenstein
Irene Wang
Irene worked on her school’s paper The Pirate’s Eye from her sophomore to senior year of high school. This helped her gain interest in Journalism and motivated her to intern for highschoogle.com. She is currently majoring in Pharmacy at Rutgers University but hopes to take Journalism classes during her time there as well. Her favorite memory of high school is either of the Disney Senior Trip or of dissecting a fetal pig in Biology. [email protected]
