A teenager who made a YouTube video (watch below) showing how she uses make up to cover her cystic acne has been booked as a model for New York fashion week.
The makeup expert was bullied about her acne and forced to stop taking classes at school, after being labeled “The Virus” and “Pizza Face” by her fellow pupils.
Casandra Barnkson struck up the courage to post a make-up tutorial on YouTube about how she conceals her acne, showing her face before and after make-up. The clip has had more than 40 million hits.
And today she’s had the last laugh as she’ll be making her catwalk debut on the runway for Boy Meets Girl’s SS13 collection at New York Fashion Week.
“It feels like a dream to be here during Fashion Week,” the model told the New York Post.
“I am a different person from who I used to be because I’ve got so much more confidence now.”
In her ten minute YouTube video which propelled her to stardom, she reveals how she transforms her face from acne-ridden to a flawless complexion.the original article from Yahoo! News, written by Sophia Moir
