Marika Svolos, a junior at Omaha Central High School in Nebraska, aced the ACT and the SAT the first time she took the tests.
Her math teacher, Greg Sand, said the odds a acing both tests are less then one in 10 million taking into account that she is a junior and took each test only once.
What’s also pretty amazing is that she didn’t take any test prep classes or spend months studying. She said that she just took a couple of practice exams and had a bowl of Cheerios the morning of the tests.
Here are some facts of each each test:
ACT: For the 2011 graduating class, 704 of the 1,623,112 test takers nationally earned a perfect 36.
SAT: In the 2011 class, 384 of the 1,647,123 test takers achieved a perfect 2,400.
